You are advised to check that the fire alarms/ smoke detectors are working as they are supposed to. It is your own responsibility to conclude how much you will rely on the fire alarms/ smoke detectors.

We regularly check the fire alarms/ smoke detectors to ensure they work, but we cannot guarantee that a technical malfunction does not appear or the batteries will not run out while you are there. Also, pay attention: When the battery needs to be changed, the alarm will sound every 60 seconds - let us know or change the batteries yourself, we will pay for the cost upon receiving a receipt from the shop.

Fire alarms/ smoke detectors, of course, cannot replace common sense. So be careful with the stove, candles and other fire. Never leave the stove open. Do not leave candles close to something easily flammable, gently turn off candles well in advance of sleep. Do remember, you are in a wooden house.

  4. The water heater for the bathrooms (located in the utility room)

Do not turn off the wireless internet (wifi), the refrigerators or freezer.
Departure: windows and doors Upon departure, check inside that all windows and doors are closed and locked. Especially the garden door from the living room is easy to overlook if it is locked, because you can hardly see if it is locked.

Once you have locked the summer house, we ask you to use the one minute it takes to walk around the house and inspect all the windows and grasp all the doors, so we are absolutely sure that everything is locked.

Remember to put the key set in the key box and lock it — that is, set all the numbers to random numbers.
